King Rama IX Footprint Pavilion (ศาลารอยพระบาท รัชกาลที่ 9)This pavilion is where people study the history of the battle between the Royal Thai Army and the defunct Communist Party of Thailand at Doi Yao – Doi Pha Mon, Amphoe Khun Tan. The 473rd Infantry Battalion gained victory by taking over Hill 1188 on Doi Phaya Phiphak. On 27 February, 1982, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej together with Her Majesty Queen Sirikit visited the army base and the local people at Phaya Phiphak Base on Doi Yao. On that auspicious occasion, His Majesty King Bhumibol gave his footprint stamp on the plaster as morale for his soldiers. To celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 80th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King on 5th December, 2007, these footprints were installed in the Pavilion in front of Meng Rai Maharaj Military Camp and in the hall on Doi Yot.
