Wiang Doem Old Temple is located at Ban Wiang Doem, Village No. 2, Wiang Nuea Sub-district, originally was called Wat Phra Boran in 2497 B.E. At that time, there were villagers migrated from Lampang to settle here called “Ban San Phak Hee”. After the migration, the name of the village was changed to “Ban Wiang Deem” in 2515 B.E. The roads were developed by transporting bricks from abandoned temples to repair the roads, there a Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara in the Chiang Saen period was unearthed. It was made of bricks and mortar. The lap size is 73 inches wide, 82 inches tall, assumed to be around 1,200 years old.
