Situated just 1 kilometer from Amphoe Chiang Saen, Tambon Wiang, this temple was built in 1295 by Phrachao Saen Phu. He had 300 teak trees planted around the temple compound hence the name Pa Sak (Teak Forest) and appointed Phra Phuttha Khosachan as the supreme patriarch. The most prominent attraction sees the main Mondop-shaped chedi with a bell spire and ornamental stucco motifs containing the Buddha’s relics – the right astragalus bone from Patna.
