Wat Phrathat Chom Kitti is in Tambon Wiang is situated on the riverside Chiang Saen – Chiang Khong Road. Legend has it that in 940, Phrachao Phangkharat built Wat Phrathat Chom Kitti alongside Wat Chom Thong as a site for the Buddha’s relics. The Chiang Saen-style redented chedi was restored by Phrachao Suwan Kham Lan.
