Wat Phrathat Chom Cho is located in Tambon Wiang, 65 kilometers from the town of Chiang Rai. Phrathat Chom Cho which has been a sacred pagoda of the city of Thoeng since ancient times contains the Lord Buddha’s hair relics. Every year, a ceremony to bath the pagoda is held on the full moon day in the eighth lunar month. The word “Cho” means being good at speaking.
